This event holds dear to my heart. I loved seeing the familiar faces and it is a privilege to work with everyone from the foundation and all the wonderful volunteers. 2019 Radiothon was a huge success raising $532,560!!!!!
Beyond excited for this wonderful friend and her new venture. I was also super pumped I could help her out with photography, website design and of course… a fancy shiny new logo. Visit www.pivotalrecruitment.ca
When I was approached by a wonderful lady about helping her get a new website & logo off the ground... I was BEYOND excited. www.kidisadesigns.com Morgann Hall... maker of natural products has launched her new website. I cannot explain how refreshing it is to see someone with a passion for making natural things people can feel good about using.
It was SO wonderful photographing her products for the website. Something I needed for my creative juices!
There are a few foundations that I hold near my heart and The Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation is one of them. Recently they had their annual RADIOTHON at Centre Mall and I was super blessed to have shot some candids of the three day event. Every year I get to see familiar faces and meet new people. Im always amazed to hear their stories... especially since Ive become a mom. So many parents face the facts that their child is sick and suddenly your life revolves around being in a hospital. We are so due for a children's hospital. I can't say it enough.
The 16th Annual Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon in Saskatoon has closed out another amazing year raising over $618,000, and was only made possible thanks to our incredible donors, sponsors, and volunteers. In addition to raising funds for Saskatchewan’s new Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital opening next year, donations from this year’s event helped purchase urgent Neonatal I equipment needs such as 5 Transcutaneous Monitors to reduce needle pokes for babies and one Video Laryngoscope to help babies breathe easier.
Hornoi Leasing matched donations towards Radiothon on January 31st and February 1st, up to $130,000.
On February 2nd, Canadian Pacific matched gifts up to $100,000 through the CP Has Heart campaign to help support a pediatric cardiology space called the “Frog Pod” in the new Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital. Funds raised through the 2018 CP Women’s Open in Regina, August 20-26, will also support specialized equipment in the Pediatric Outpatients Clinic at our new provincial pediatric and maternal hospital. Ask me and I'll tell you.... Marlese from Bobe Beauty in Saskatoon is a unique and innovative entrepreneur. Her services include aromatherapy, luxury facials and reflexology. I was humbled to photograph her space and talents for an article running in Refined Magazine Saskatoon.
Deeply schooled in the European art & science of Aromatherapy, Marlese is a Certified Aromatherapist through a CFA [Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists] accredited program.
To extend her complimentary care services, she holds certifications in both Dien Chan Multi-Reflexology & Chan’ Beauté, which are the original methods of facial reflexology for therapeutics and beauty. Studying with Barcelona-based instructors, she was the first Saskatchewan clinician trained in both areas.
Most recently, continued studies in the fields of aromatherapy and botanical perfumery have lured her to train with world class educators and master craftspeople in NYC and France.
Providing individualized solutions tailored to a client’s unique needs is what guided her to choose the modalities in which she is trained + certified. These methods provide her with an extensive array of tools and ingredients to serve you with. Individualized care is the heart of her practice.

People often ask me what my favourite thing to shoot is... and honestly some days I LOVE shooting interiors. Especially for a professional amazing home builder such as Decora Homes. They truly give me the most amazing spaces to shoot. One in particular was located in the wonderful Rosewood neighbourhood of Saskatoon. Clean lines and open spaces are a photographers dream when it comes to shooting interiors. I like to shoot things wide with also focusing on those little details that can be missed.
Inquire today if you are selling your home and wish to have it photographed tastefully and most important... professionally.
The new year brings a new focus. It just does. Its like you get to start all over again without explanation. So with that comes the age old question of where do I see my business going? What do I shoot more of? Less of? What do I see myself doing the most going forward? All these questions come into play and Ive thought over and over ....and over.....
Its like you spend so much energy raising your kids... and then boom.. you need to get back out there and fully do what you did and do it better or diversify yourself. Ive been at this for so long it seems (since '98)... so some days I'm like "k...do I want to shoot more weddings?" "Do I want to shoot more events?".... So with a lot of thought... without further notice I'd like to say "yes I want to shoot more weddings this year and all of the above really." I love what I do and I love meeting people and seeing my dedicated clients again and again... so I for sure want to continue photographing whats in my portfolio. My mind is really going more towards design and my ability to create. I love creating LOGOS, designing WEBSITES... and of course supplying great photographing for these entities.
So! I will be taking on new "projects"....is what I like to call it. These projects could be logo design for a new or existing business looking to rebrand. This could also be website design and I am exclusively best working with "squarespace" platforms. I also of course LOVE supplying photography for websites so I feel like I can be your "one stop shop" for making a face for your business.
Ask for your quote today. Hit me up for a coffee and Id love to chat about your next project.
Im always blessed to meet the people I do... especially when they have supported me for so many years. I do feel truly lucky to have clients that keep coming back and value my craft.
Take for example this little dude. His parents have stuck with me for many years! I was happy to see them once again in the studio for a 2 year session. The studio is always my comfy zone for photos.... and I truly love the space when its not only cold outside, but I love the light that it brings.
